Brilliant, sir

Huckabee’s not the sharpest guy, is he? Not only that, he’s openly admitted to pandering to Cuban-Americans. I guess his honesty is refreshing.

How long will this guy be on top? I suppose he’s better than Guiliani, but I think he’d be worse than Romney. Who knows? Voting for any of them was never a serious option.

Sadly, I need another option. Do I vote for those in favor of torture or those who just want to appease the torturers? I’m glad I have such morally solid choices.

I suppose I could just not vote. Or vote for the crazy person running. Option 1 is pretty useless, since whenever the Democrats lose they decide they need to be more like Republicans. Option 2 would either wreak havoc domestically or simply reinforce where the boundary of acceptability lies.

But no, I’ll probably again vote for the spineless to keep the idiots out of office. How fun.

I suppose he’s better than Guiliani

Wrong sir. He is not better than Guiliani by almost any definition that I can think of, other than he is honest about his crazyness. Guiliani is corrupt but only pretends to be crazy. Now, if you want to see another 8 years of ZERO representation for anyone but those who serve his interests, Huckabee would be the guy.

Only pretends? He seems to be the most warmongering of the group, he’s corrupt, and he has an authoritarian streak. Huckabee more reasonable foreign policy views (actually thinks there’s value in talking to other countries, it seems), doesn’t appear to be corrupt, and has actually shown some fiscal responsibility. He is, of course, a social conservative and Guiliani is not. He also appears to be an idiot. I think that adds up to Guiliani being worse.

I have a hard time debating this Jeff. To me, it is a lot like asking whether I would rather be gang raped and then buried alive or skinned alive and then cut in half. I really don’t have an opinion I suppose. The best part of all the scenarios would be that it would eventually be over.
