A few less things to vote on

September 13, 2006 Leave a comment Go to comments

Apparently, a few initiatives were tossed off the ballot. I wasn’t planning on voting for them (though I-154 was somewhat reasonable), so I’m not exactly disappointed. Assuming the charges of fraud from the judge are correct, good riddance.

I am glad that I don’t have to see rather silly attacks on the backers of the initiatives for being out-of-staters anymore. That got a bit out of hand. I mean, I’m as annoyed as the next guy that non-residents intiated and drove the attempt to get the initiatives on the ballot, but if they’re good policies, who cares? In the end they weren’t, of course.

In the end they weren’t, of course.

Maybe, but I refuse to admit to “the end” – at least as far as regulatory takings are concerned.

    This fight will continue.
