LAN filesharing?

The RIAA is apparently going after local campus filesharing now.

Around here, we used to have people sharing files on the Windows network. Download a LAN file searcher and you were off. It seemed mean to watch a movie off of someone else’s computer, though. In any case, that’s since been banned, along with basically all filesharing programs (using a packetshaper). As far as I know, the only local filesharing goes on through myTunes (worthless) and Waste. I don’t know about myTunes, but our Waste network has about 6 TB of data, which isn’t bad (as an aside, a friend of mine has over 1 TB shared on it). I imagine it’s harder for the RIAA to get access to, being encrypted and all. Not that a small university in Montana is high priority target.
