Saving face

Much to my chagrin, I’ve been using MySpace more and more. I feel so…dirty. It also suggests to me that some people should never ever be allowed to have anything resembling a website. Granted, that’s already apparent, but MySpace makes it so obvious.

In an attempt to balance that, I present you with TNR’s article on why MySpace is destroying music. I’m not in total agreement, but it bashes MySpace, so it works.

There’s really no excuse for MySpace. I thought that Xanga was the bottom-scrapingest of bottom-scrapers, but that was before I really looked at MySpace, which I did only when I discovered that a bunch of asshats there were hotlinking HUH.gif.
