Best albums of 2004: nominees

It’s that time of year. I can’t ever remember what albums I’ve listened to from the current year. Anyway,

Riverside – Out of Myself (I’m already just about certain this one is my favorite for the year)
Mastodon – Leviathan
The Haunted – rEVOLVEr
Evergrey – Inner Circle
A Perfect Circle – eMotive
Incubus – A Crow Left of the Murder
Isis – Panopticon (Maybe a bit rash after just one listen, but it was damned impressive)
Dillinger Escape Plan – Miss Machine

There’s also the question of whether Pineapple Thief’s new one counts, as the special edition was released this year, but the offical album release isn’t until next year. I haven’t heard it yet, but I’m sure it’s great.

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head.

UPDATE: Heliologue has his own list here. Couple more albums added to the list.

I’m cooking up my own, though it’ll be a difficult one to rank. I troo wondered about the validity of PT as a 2004 release. Figure that if the copyright says 2004, then it’s a 2004 release.

Good, you can remind of some albums, hopefully. :)

Faboy Slim’s Palookaville was a lot of fun and tight beats. I out to do a list too, come to think of it.
