A Perfect Circle's eMotive

I’ve been listening to that all day (note: if you’re the RIAA, I haven’t heard it). It’s good, but not as good as I’d hoped. Imagine is excellent and Passive is probably second best. After that there aren’t that many songs that stand out. Maybe Freedom of Choice and What’s Going On. Annihilation is interesting and well done, but isn’t something that’s good on its own. It does well as an intro to the album, though. Counting Bodies Like Sheep is a remix of Pet, one of my favorite songs off Thirteenth Step. They may not have been able to do anything with it that I liked, but it’s a pretty worthless remix. It’s worth a purchase, which I’ll certainly do on Nov. 2nd.

UPDATE: It’s starting to grow on me more. I kinda like Counting Bodies Like Sheep now. When The Levee Breaks is really growing on me, I’m liking it a lot. Fiddle for the Drum is cool in its own way; I think it’s a really good album closer.

I agree. I think in their effort to create a politically-motivated piece, they rushed the musical creation.
