Wonderful!
Israel trains US assassination squads in Iraq
Israeli advisers are helping train US special forces in aggressive counter-insurgency operations in Iraq, including the use of assassination squads against guerrilla leaders, US intelligence and military sources said yesterday.
The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) has sent urban warfare specialists to Fort Bragg in North Carolina, the home of US special forces, and according to two sources, Israeli military “consultants” have also visited Iraq.
US forces in Iraq’s Sunni triangle have already begun to use tactics that echo Israeli operations in the occupied territories, sealing off centres of resistance with razor wire and razing buildings from where attacks have been launched against US troops.
Yeah, that’ll work great! Look at the success Israel has had. I mean, they don’t have consistent terrorist attacks on their general population or anything. And they obviously have won the hearts and minds of the occupied Palestinians.
Since Israel is part and parcel of the PNAC package, this surprises me not in the least.
It does piss me off, though.
It kind of shows where The Guardian’s head is at when they call the Israeli’s ‘assasins’ but won’t call a guy who blows up a bus full of schoolchildren a ‘terrorist’ and sometimes not even a ‘militant’. I’ve seen them call bombers ‘activists’. A slight bias, but that never bothered those on the left.
If you want our soldiers to survive over there you cannot deny them the tools to win.
There are a limited number of Baathists and fedeyeen. Once they’re numbers start to dwindle in rapid fashion, the lessers will start to get a real ‘want for life’ and quit.
The difference nbetween Iraq and the ‘palestinians’ is that the ‘palis’ send their kids off to schools to learn to hate Jews (not just Israelis) and the ‘palis’ are breeding a generation of people that are taught that to die while killing Jews is to live forever.
Iraq doesn’t have that.
I say that we should let the Israeli’s train our guys, i mean were not so almighty so that we dont learn things about warfare from others.(even if its assasination.)
