That one guy….
Since I’m beat and don’t really have a grip on what happened in the news today (do I ever?) I’ll just make an easy comment on Clark entering the race:
Clark To Enter Presidential Race
LITTLE ROCK, Ark — Retired Gen. Wesley Clark, who boasts a four-star military record but concedes he has gaps to fill on domestic policy, told political advisers Tuesday he will join the presidential race as the 10th Democratic candidate.
So, the General will run. I’m mixed about this whole thing. Not long ago, I was pumped; a General, they can’t touch him on security! And it’s still going to be tough for them, but as others have noted, it will center around Kosovo. I don’t think Kosovo was an especially good idea; Milosevic wasn’t the monster he has been made out to be, and we made somethings worse, as usual. But he did oppose the Iraq war, so that’s good. I think we could count on him to talk to the American people with as little distortion as you can expect. But the main thing is, I don’t know his positions on social issues, what he’s going to do domestically. I know he’s liberal, he’s said it before, so that’s a good indication, but does he have a plan? All this is really irrelevant, because I’ll be voting for the Democrat no matter what (well, if they nominate Lieberman, I’ll vote Green).
Anyway, we all know Kucinich is the best candidate.
